Welcome to Sawdon Heights
Sawdon Heights is a working farm overlooking the Vale of Pickering and the Yorkshire Wolds, with stunning views over open countryside. The farmhouse dates from Victorian times around 1870 and is surrounded by 200 acres of arable and grazing land. The Dickinson family have farmed at Sawdon Heights since 1943 with Andrew, Sue and their family taking over in 1995.
We welcome guests to our four beautiful appointed cottages all situated in wonderful locations and ideal for exploring the stunning countryside and East coast of North Yorkshire.
Whin Floor Cottage is situated on the family farm at Sawdon Heights, close to the village of Sawdon and in between the spa resort of Scarborough and the pretty market town of Pickering, famous for its nostalgic steam trains. Whin Floor cottage enjoys stunning views of the Yorkshire Wolds and the Vale of Pickering. The luxury accommodation comprises of three en suite bedrooms sleeping 6 (one bedroom is on the ground floor with easy access), a lounge/ diner with french doors onto a private patio with breath-taking views and a pretty, cottage style, fully equipped kitchen with a range cooker.
Auburn House is situated in the pretty village of Beadlam, close to the popular market town of Helmsley with its medieval castle and pretty artisan shops. This attractive accommodation sleeps 8 with 4 bedrooms, 2 en suite and a family bathroom (one on the ground floor with easy access), tastefully decorated lounge, a beautiful farmhouse kitchen/diner with a range cooker and a useful utility room.
Standing for over 200 years beside the village church, 1 Chapel Terrace cottage is in Ebberston, a charming village location complete with a friendly little pub nearby. The cottage has a comfortable lounge with a beautiful kitchen opening out onto a large, enclosed garden; there is a shower room with a separate toilet. The garden bursts with colour throughout spring and summer, with a seating area so that you can dine al fresco or simply bask in the sunshine as you take in your surroundings.
Chapel Cottage is nestled in the pretty Ryedale village of Ebberston, close to Pickering town and with easy access to the stunning East Coast. Chapel Cottage is mid seventeenth century and offers guests lots of cosy character. The pretty property sleeps 4 with an upstairs bathroom and downstairs shower room, beamed lounge with open fire and a separate dining room. The pretty kitchen/diner is fully equipped.
In addition to the four holiday cottages Andrew and Sue run a Caravan Club certified site near to the farm with electric hook ups, able to accept 5 tourers or motorhomes. The site offers stunning views over the Vale of Pickering and to the East Coast.
